    Our Village United Wellness Champion

    Our Village United is on a mission to provide culturally competent and community-centric programs to support small business owners. I was the Wellness Champion for Our Village United’s first ELEVATE LA cohort. I provided 6 Wellness Support groups over the program’s 12 week course that were a mix of psycho-education and processing space.

    After a great experience as a Writer at the 2022 New Harmony Project, I collaborated with the staff to create a new staff position: A Wellness Consultant. This would allow the artists and staff to have on site Wellness Support— a lot can come up when creating! After creating the job they asked if I would do it. And I said yes! My artistic skills and therapist training got to combine in a beautiful way.

    Queer Cat Production’s Selected Artist, Rawiyah Tariq, premiered a five person show. I wrote and performed the element of Fire.

    The New Harmony Project

    I was chosen as one of twelve writers for a ten-day, all inclusive retreat in New Harmony, IN. The New Harmony Project is an intensive, creative residency and retreat program that takes place in the spring of each year; it has been around for more than three decades.
