    I returned to the New Harmony Project as The Community Care Facilitator! Always an honor to support the artists, staff, and NHP community as they create, restore, and grow together.

    Founded Wellness Consultant Role at the 2023 New Harmony Project

    After a great experience as a Writer at the 2022 New Harmony Project, I collaborated with the staff to create a new staff position: A Wellness Consultant (now known as Community Care Facilitator). This way, individual artists/staff and the entire community as a whole have on site Wellness Support. NHP asked if I would assume the role. And I said yes! My artistic skills and therapist training got to combine in a beautiful way.

    Queer Cat Productions 2022 Selected Artist, Rawiyah Tariq, premiered a five person show. I wrote and performed the element of Fire.

    Fall 2023 Wellness Champion for Our Village United

    I worked with Our Village United, a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Lakeysha Hallmon. OVU supports small business owners across the country to build sustainable businesses. I led a twice a month wellness support group for small business owners. In the group, I provided psychoeducation and facilitated conversation around emotional wellness strategies. I also provided individual wellness sessions for members of the group.

    Provided one to one mentorship over nine months for three participants in the Mystic Soul Project Spirit School.

    The New Harmony Project

    I was chosen as one of twelve writers for a ten-day, all inclusive retreat in New Harmony, IN. The New Harmony Project is an intensive, creative residency and retreat program that takes place in the spring of each year; it has been around for more than three decades.

    Workshop Facilitator at the 2019 Mystic Soul conference in Chicago, Illinois. The Mystic Soul Project was a nonprofit that centered People of Color (POC) at the intersections of contemplative (mystical) spirituality, activism and healing. I facilitated with Mishara D. Winston, LCSW.

    I was a part of The Midwives’ Term 3 cohort in 2019. The mission of The Midwives is to nurture the public creative spirit. I collaborated with artist Kelsey Didion, pairing my choreography with her original music.
